Jim has worked in real estate valuation for over twenty-five years as a Broker, Appraiser (MAI designation), and Senior Property Tax Consultant. In his appraisal work, Jim focuses on litigation as a qualified expert witness. As a property tax consultant, his portfolio consists of only commercial properties.

Prior to real estate valuation, Jim was in education as a teacher and counselor. While he changed career paths, his desire to educate never left him. He leads PropertyTax.io's efforts in educating the Partner Network of various property tax related issues. Jim offers a one-hour CE course for real estate professionals focusing on relevant Property Tax issues of the day.

As the Chief Valuation officer of PropertyTax.io, Jim is responsible for ensuring the quality of the product. He advises on improvements to the algorithms bases on his extensive residential valuation background. Apart from PropertyTax.io, Jim maintains his own appraisal business, Goodrich Realty Consulting.
